  • Began career providing direct client healthcare services through HIV, Hep-C, and communicable diseases testing; counseling; and linking people to continuing care.

  • Managed grants from Chicago Department of Public Health, Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • Developed innovative solutions for community outreach to improve public health through prevention programs.

  • As Director of Civic Engagement at Equality Illinois, led state-wide efforts to successfully pass healthcare legislation such as the 2025 Equality for Every Family Act (HB 2683) and 2023 Healthcare Cultural Competency (HB 2450).

  • Community member on the Local School Counsel for Lozano Bilingual Elementary School, successfully hiring a new principal to increase school enrollment.
